Dear Friend,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We bless the Lord for the month of April, He has seen us through. We thank you for your partnership with us which has made it possible for us to be a blessing to many young people. Below is how we have touched many lives with your love and support.

Outreach Ministry

We reached 678 young people of which 118 made commitments to abstain from sex until marriage and 60 gave their lives to the Lord. In the Idudi project, staff continued run bible study sessions while in Gulu, Jeff ministered to Gulu Baptist school on the 7th and 18th meeting with pupils in primary six and primary seven respectively. On the 3rd, survivor night was held at Mukono Christian University with over 500 students in attendance. The theme of the day was Love and Philip shared about the love of Christ and prayed with the young people.

Counseling Ministry

We cared for 20 pregnant teenagers of which 3 girls gave birth to healthy babies. 40 clients were also counseled who were faced with different challenges. A young mothers meeting was held in Idudi with 15 girls in attendance. The topics discussed included choices, work; positive living etc. 10 of these young mothers gave their lives to the Lord. Through our partnership with VIVA Network, we were joined by Becky from the UK who will be volunteering for one year working with the girls.

Starfish Educational Program

Children in the starfish program were followed up in their schools before the closure of the school term. We have been working on the preparations for the starfish annual camp where we expect to have over 120 children and young mothers in attendance.

Operation Hannah Program

Mission was carried out by Operation Hannah mothers in Eastern Uganda, Idudi were by 218 people especially women were ministered to. We visited 2 homes and preached in 4 churches. Women were challenged to continue growing spiritually and also pray for this generation of young people.

Visitors

We are receiving visitors from the US on the 29th of April and 1st of May under How101 and Colorado community church. They will be with us for 2 weeks, during which they will spend time with the children and their mothers, specifically those in our school sponsorship program.

Pioneering conference

We thank God for your prayers for Philip and Miriam’s travel to South Africa for the pioneering conference. It was a great success, enabled us to grow spiritually and strategize how to pioneer/start the ministry of Youth For Christ to Southern Sudan.
