Dear Friend, Ministry started well this year with the team eager to serve the Lord. We are so grateful indeed that together we will be able to serve those in need this year. Below is how you have touched many with your love: Outreach Ministry We reached 160 youth in Kampala, and Eastern Uganda. They encouraged the Youth to know who they are in the Lord and to let their light shine. Six new volunteers were recruited and trained in the Kampala Office and made a commitment to serve with us for the next nine months.
Opening of Gulu Office Phillip, Geoffrey, Matthias and Paul opened our office in Gulu on the 31st of January. Geoffrey Mujjumba is the Branch Team leader in Charge of establishing and growing the ministry in Northern Uganda. Thank you so much for being part of this growth in the ministry.
Counseling Ministry We cared for 18 pregnant teenagers of which six gave birth to healthy babies and were resettled back home with their parents/ guardians. We also counseled 38 clients who came with different challenges.
Starfish Programme On the 23rd we held a reunion of the children in the programme. It was a wonderful day to meet again, play and also learn. The theme of the day was from Matthew 5:13 “ You are the salt and the light of the world”. The young mothers had group discussions on goal setting focusing on issues that affect their lives. We are so grateful for the sponsors who sent letters for their children during the reunion. Children reported back to school on the 31st-January- 2011.
Grants This month we received grants from Luke 12:48 Foundations and Master’s Plan Foundation towards different ministries for this year. We are so grateful for these foundations and to God for His provision. Your support has made it possible to reach many with the love and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Together with you we will be able to be a blessing to many. For Him Alone, Miriam Prayer request
