Dear Friend, This has been a month full of God’s grace and provision. We were able to serve the Lord and also do ministry in two new areas. We are so grateful that together, we have reached youth in new areas in Uganda. Many have been blessed by you. Below is how you have done it: Outreach Ministry We reached a number youth of which 6,215 committed their lives to the Lord and 1,189 committed to abstain from sex until marriage. The Outreach team in Kampala had two missions, one in Gulu and the other in Luwero. The two teams in Kampala and Idudi were able to reach 31 schools and also minister to sick people in hospital. Also 3 teachers in Gulu teachers committed their lives to the Lord. We held a survivor night at Uganda Christian University which drew 500 youth. Phillip shared and encouraged them to be at peace and also evangelize to others.
Counseling ministry We cared for 11 pregnant teenagers and 2 young mothers. Two gave birth and were resettled. This month spiritual assessment of the girls was carried out to find out how they have grown spiritually. Some mentioned that they have come to love God more, learnt how to pray, learnt the value of going to church, forgive, and built their faith in God etc. We praise God for the growth they have experienced so far.
Counseling Training Counseling training took place from 17th -19th. It was facilitated by Barbra Porter and on the 20th she encouraged the girls and had dinner with them. 20 people including staff, volunteers and others workers from two crisis pregnancy organizations were trained in areas of dealing with sexual problems and healing a healer. The training was so fruitful and empowered us to improve the quality of services we offer.
On the 8th March, a fundraising dinner was held at Café Ballet to raise funds for the pregnant teenagers under our care. The Queen of Buganda matched the gift and total we got $265 which will be a blessing to the girls. Many have been blessed through your love and giving. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. We praise the Lord the far He has brought us. It’s our prayer that together we will continue to expand God’s kingdom to many.
