Dear Friend,

We have been so blessed indeed by your continuous love and support to the ministry. We have been able to reach many with the gospel and the love of the Lord this month. Your love, prayers and continuous support is appreciated by the YFC-Uganda team.

You have been a blessing to many, below is detailed information:

Outreach Ministry

We reached 8,452 youth of which 1,403 committed their lives to the Lord and 1,540 committed to abstain from sex until marriage. The Outreach Team had a mission to Masaka- Southern Uganda from 21st-28th of February were they were able to go to 19 schools and two churches preaching the gospel and challenging young people to live pure lives. It was a very fruitful mission no major challenges.

Counseling Ministry

We cared for 16 pregnant girls of which 5 gave birth to health babies and three of them resettled back in their homes. Forty four clients were also counseled who came to us with different challenges.

Follow up

Fourteen young mothers were followed up in their homes, the babies and the young mothers were found in fairly good health and living conditions. The young mothers and the guardians were counseled and encouraged depending on the challenges they were facing.

Starfish programme

Eight children got sponsors to be able to go to school last month. We are so grateful indeed for the sponsors for choosing to give these children a better life. Three of our young mothers (Jennifer Kusasira, Joan Nantumbwe and Allen Nakabugu) who completed S.4 and S.6 last year will be joining higher institutions of learning. We are so grateful indeed to all sponsors for continuously giving financial support that the children will go to school and have a better future.

Eastern Uganda

On the 5th February, Mrs. Marcella Mukasa, Board Chairperson visited the office and also helped to purchased more land for our offices. She appreciated the staff and the volunteer team for the work they have been doing in schools and communities and encouraged them to continue.

Staff and volunteer training was conducted from 24th to 25th in Youth ministry, servant leadership and walking with God. Annet and I were the facilitators.
