Dear Friend, This month has been full of God’s goodness and faithfulness to us and the ministry. Below is how you have been a blessing to many: Visitors We hosted three teams, two from the USA and one from the UK. We have been so blessed by their friendship and partnerships as we served the Lord. Colorado Community Church Team The team of 12 served with us from 5th -19th of June. They were involved in construction of the guard shack and toilet on our Mengo property. They counseled, taught bible lessons, interacted with girls at the centre and were also involved in school ministry.
They purchased land for our office in Eastern Uganda. They blessed the ministry materially and financially of which we are so thankful.
Youth For Christ-UK Team We are hosting a team of 10 people from the 26th. They are involved in the school and sports ministry. For many, it’s their fist time in Africa are anxious to serve the Lord. They blessed the ministry with bibles and baby clothes.
Johnston’s Family On the 30th, we hosted a team of 9 people of which four were from the Johnston’s family. They are one of our partners who support our ministry through the Luke 12:48 Foundation. They spent the afternoon with the teenage mothers encouraging them. They brought along baby clothes, blankets, chocolates which brought a lot of joy to the girls.
To all the teams; - we were blessed by your love and partnership with us to reach young people in Uganda. Your coming to serve with us was very much appreciated and we pray that the Lord will bless you. Outreach Ministry We reached 1767 youth of which 269 committed their lives to the Lord and 350 committed to abstain from sex until marriage. Counseling Ministry We looked after 15 girls and counseled 33 clients who came with different challenges. Four girls gave birth; unfortunately we lost one baby a day after birth. The young mother who lost the baby is still coping with that challenge. Please pray that she will find hope in the Lord. Starfish programme Children on the programme received gifts form their sponsors. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for blessing them in that way. They were all so glad to receive them.
