Dear friend,

Happy New Year! I pray that it will be a year full of joy and peace in all you do. As YFC-Uganda team, it’s a year of serving the Lord more than before. Thank you so much for partnering with us in the past year and we are looking forward to serving with you this year.

Below is how you have blessed many:

Outreach Ministry
We reached 1030 youth of which 20 committed their lives to the Lord while 750 committed to abstain from sex until Marriage and 230 encouraged continuing walking in purity.

Jessica Going Home
Jessica served with us for two and a half years. She was mainly involved in developing teams and reaching young people with the gospel. On 3rd December she went back home in the USA after completing her time of service. We miss her and so thankful to God for the time we spent with her.



Appreciation of Volunteer Teams
On the 19th we held an appreciation breakfast for all the volunteer teams that served with us in 2008. It was a time to appreciate their work, fellowship and encourage one another as we strive to serve the Lord. We commissioned 5 of them who have gone into collage.



Counseling Ministry
We looked after 9 pregnant girls of which two gave birth to two baby boys. They are the first to benefit from the safe birth initiative. Both the mothers and babies are in good health and resettled back in their homes. The girls enjoyed Christmas and were challenged to accept Him as Lord and Savior of their lives.

Starfish Programme
All the children and young mothers are in there school holiday so able to build relationships with their children, parents/guardians. We are so thankful to God for sponsorship opportunities given to 15 children this month to go to school. Thank you so much for giving them hopes for better lives in future.

We treasure the partnership we have had with you in the past year and we are looking forward for your continued partnership this year 2009 that together we will be a blessing to many in Uganda.
