Welcome to YFC-Uganda Mirembe House

Youth for Christ - Uganda started in 1992 as a counseling ministry reaching girls faced with crisis pregnancy. Over the years we added an arm of outreach which is mainly involved in Evangelism and discipleship.

Over the last seventeen years it has been our joy to reach out to the youth with love and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Beginning this year in all our programs we are focusing more on relationship building here by we get to know more of the youth God brings our way and help them develop into people of Godly character.

National Director Role:

  • Responsible for carrying the vision of YFC-U and through the team make it a reality
  • Building a winning team and on the other hand care for them
  • Raising funds for the ministry and ensuring proper use and accountability

Dear Friend,

We have continued to see the goodness of the Lord in our lives and ministry. So, it brings us so much joy to write to you about how you have been a blessing to many youth that we have reached.

Below is how you have touched many lives:

Counseling Ministry
We have cared for 19 girls of which 6 gave birth, all the mothers and the babies are in good health.  Vocational, bible and life skill classes are going on so well.

Testimony
Sarah 14 years gave birth at the centre. She did not realize that the time for labor had come till the head of the baby started getting out. Thanks to God for our trained Matron who qualified as a nurse helped her deliver a baby boy called Jeremiah.

 

 

Starfish Educational Programme
A Starfish Reunion was held on 12th, it was wonderful to see all the young mothers and children full of joy and hope. George Bukeede was the main speaker.  He challenged and encouraged them to continue to pursue what God wants of them and concentrate on their education. They went back to school on 25th of May.

We are grateful indeed for all the sponsors for giving them hope for the future.

Visitors
We received visitors on 3rd May from a cell group from Namirembe Cathedral, of which one of our Board Member, Reverend Polly Musiime belongs. They spent an afternoon with the girls, fellowshipping and encouraging them. They brought donations of food and clothing. They all had a wonderful time.

Outreach Ministry
We reached 524 youth of which 42 committed their lives to the Lord and 35 committed to abstain from sex until marriage. We continued the Discipleship and Life Skill classes in the five Compassion Projects which was a very good opportunity for us.
